1 More Sleep...and a change of plan

So. Yesterday I JOKINGLY posted a video of some stricken but very upbeat guy on a storm swept boat in the middle of the Irish sea.

"Ha ha, I wonder if this will be me on my boat on Sunday???"
Well the answer is no. Because there will be no boat. This was taken from the BBC News Website:

"A ferry had to return to Douglas on the Isle of Man when engine trouble forced the cancellation of a sailing to Birkenhead after two and a half hours.
The Isle of Man Steampacket company said the 08:00 GMT sailing was abandoned after problems with one of its two engines.
Two hundred and forty passengers were on board with 140 due to make the return sailing.
The company has arranged alternative sailings and overnight accommodation.
Chief Executive Mark Woodward said: "The issue with one of the engines meant the Ben was operating on one engine and one bow thrust unit.
"Given the nature of berthing in Birkenhead, the Ship's Master took the decision, on safety grounds, not to attempt the berthing and return to Douglas."
The ship travelled slowly and arrived back in Douglas at 15:15 GMT.
Planned maintenance was due to take place on Saturday evening. A posting on the company website said the next anticipated sailing for the craft was the 08:00 to Birkenhead on Sunday."
Do you see that? The NEXT ANTICIPATED SAILING.... my boat. Which basically means; "we're working on the engine; it might or might not work; we hope it will be able to sail at 8am Monday, but really we don't know"

So my mother came up with the bright idea of booking a flight instead. It REALLY hits with the price... £45 for 2 on a boat down the toilet.....and having to pay out £129 for two last minute flights. But. If this boat doesn't sail EVERYONE, all 400 people will be trying to get on that small flight to Liverpool which holds about 30.
..Then ofcourse we have to make our Amsterdam flight Monday morning, and if we don't we miss our apartment person blablablabla.
But still.........I was looking forward to getting the boat, drinking tea and watching a movie
And I'm scared of flying
